Martha Stewart, the Ultimate Badass: A Netflix Documentary Review with a Personal Twist!

Watching the latest Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix was like having a front-row seat to the life of a woman who’s not only a culinary icon but also a fierce, resilient, and unapologetic badass. If you haven’t hit play yet, trust me—you’ll want to by the end of this!

Now, I’m no stranger to Martha. I actually was a few feet away from her once in New York, on the set of her show. And even then, I knew she was a force to be reckoned with, but this documentary just takes it to a whole new level. It’s a beautiful, sometimes raw, peek behind the polished image of a woman who, at the end of the day, is just like us—someone who wanted love, acceptance, and the occasional “job well done” from the people around her.

One of the wildest parts? Her love life! This woman has met her fair share of “interesting” men, and we get the full scoop, including her relationship with Charles, the Microsoft Word and Excel inventor. Apparently, this guy only visited her once while she was in prison, and then, right when she gets out  they are planning a dream trip together, he drops the bomb: “I’m marrying Lisa.” Martha, as any of us would, was floored, left asking, “Who the hell is Lisa?” I mean, talk about a plot twist! The documentary doesn’t hold back in sharing her highs and lows, and we get to see how Martha, in true Martha fashion, just kept going.

But through all the drama, her ride-or-die friendship with Snoop Dogg remains one of the most heartwarming constants. Snoop’s there to remind us that Martha’s not just a brand—she’s a woman, a friend, and a legend.

So, if you’re in need of inspiration, a good laugh, and maybe a few “omg, really?!” moments, grab some popcorn and a glass of wine. This documentary is your next binge!
