Golden Goose Sneakers, Yes Please!

First Pair

I just bought my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers, and to be honest, it was a debate I had with myself for almost two years. It wasn’t a desperate purchase, but one that was thought out long and hard….so, I justified it as a necessary expense to try them out for my blog. This iconic sneaker is crafted in Italy and seen all over the world on both men and women. They have a bit of a worn out look that offers a West Coast meets European grunge, a trend that is here today and always tomorrow. Not only is it staying around, it has a big price for it’s Superstar style that starts out around $445 and works its way up depending on the style you want. I always like the ones that are $560 for some reason.

White Sneakers

The last two years I started getting back into the casual white sneakers look. I love how a great pair of white sneakers seamlessly works with everything. My husband said to me when I showed him a picture of them, “This is a bit grunge style for you”. And guess what, he is right! The moment my white shoes get a scuff or a little dirt on them, I feel obligated to either throw them in the washing machine or phase them to the house shoe pile. Regardless how you feel about them, people are paying hundreds of dollars for dirty shoes with fancy scuff marks and a worn-out look.

Only Pros

Pros to Golden Goose Sneakers:
1. Limited quantities of each style. They sell out quick!
2. Already dirty. I’ve never liked the look of dirty shoes, but there is something about these. I can’t bring myself to say NO! Bring on the dirty look!
3. Comfortable! Yes, they are so comfortable!
4. They go great with dresses and skirts, as well as with jeans and lounge-wear.
