Date Night at the Blue Box Cafe

Every Halloween, TK and I have a cherished tradition: dining at the Blue Box Cafe. This year, we wanted to make it even more special, inviting my dearest friends, Grace and Wes, to join us for an unforgettable evening.

Stepping into the Blue Box Cafe with them by our side felt like adding another layer to a well-loved ritual. The evening was set against the backdrop of a perfect autumn night in New York City, with the crisp air and city lights creating a magical atmosphere.

Our night began with the warmest of reunions as Grace, who had flown all the way from California, joined us along with her husband, Wes. Together, we were a group bound by the unbreakable ties of friendship, shared victories over life’s challenges, and a deep appreciation for each other’s presence.

Our dinner was exquisite, as always. I ordered the filet mignon, perfectly tender beef tenderloin served with pommes anna, green beans, and a rich sauce bordelaise. Every detail in the dish reflected Tiffany’s dedication to artistry and quality – fitting for a place that, to TK and me has come to symbolize the beauty of tradition and celebration.

After dinner, we wandered through the Tiffany flagship, where we viewed legendary pieces that sparkled with the legacy of love and commitment. One of my favorite pieces stood out and it’s a staple in our home to this day– the Tiffany 1837 candle, which felt like more than just decor. Named after the year Tiffany was founded, the candle’s gemstone-like design and earthy scent seems to ground us in a reminder of life’s simplest but most precious joys. I simply love it so much

As we walked out into the New York night, the crisp autumn air felt like a gentle reminder of life’s fleeting, cherished moments. This Halloween, our tradition at the Blue Box Cafe gifted us memories that sparkle just as brightly as the Tiffany gems we admired, forever close to our hearts – a tradition made even more beautiful by sharing it with friends we hold dear.
